Welcome to live Isle of Wight Weather, from the Isle of Wight Weather weather station at Brighstone, on the Isle of Wight. We are using a Davis Vantage Pro 2 AWS (Automatic Weather Station) with Weather Display and Weather Display Live V5.03 software to create the closest thing you can get to 'live' weather on the internet. Every 3 seconds, a small text file is automatically uploaded to one of our four servers, containing data that is read by the Macromedia Flash powered application, giving a continually updating display of weather information from the Isle of Wight Weather Station. You have links at the bottom of the display to show records, graphs, webcam pictures, and even current lightning activity generated from an integration between Weather Display and our StormVue 1.54 lightning detecting software.
