Welcome to the original and leading Isle of Wight Weather Station and website. Here, you can find details of past and present weather conditions, forecasts, climate and trends to be found whilst living or holidaying on the Isle of Wight. We have weather data and details from Newport, Bleakdown, Central Newport, Sandown, Ryde and Brighstone. Shortly we will have data from Whippingham, and historical data from Wootton Bridge. With the exceptions of routine back up and maintenance to our data systems, Isleofwightweather is on line 24 hours a day giving you the information you need when you need it. During extreme weather conditions, we update our data more frequently. We have a two day Isle of Wight weather forecast, which is proving to be very accurate, which is updated every evening with our data and can be seen here. Our weather recording equipment includes a Davis Vantage Pro2 Plus with FARS and two Davis Vantage Pro2 Automatic weather stations. Our lightning detection system uses a Boltek Storm Tracker PCI lightning detector, and Astrogenic Systems NexStorm 1.54 software, allowing us to plot real time storm details, which are updated every minute there is activity.
